We may collect the following types of information:

1.1 Personal Information

  • Identity information (e.g., government-issued ID, medical registration certificates for doctors).

1.2 Health Information

  • Medical history, current symptoms, allergies, prescriptions, diagnostic reports, treatment records.
  • Information shared during tele consultations, home consultations, or hospital referrals.

1.3 Technical Information

  • Device details, IP address, browser type, operating system.
  • Log data, cookies, app usage, location (if permitted).

1.4 Payment & Transaction Data

  •  We do not store any patient bank account or payment card details.
  •   We collect doctors’ UPI IDs and/or bank account details solely for processing consultation settlements and payouts. This information is securely stored, encrypted in transit, and shared only with authorized banking/payment partners as required to complete transactions. 
  • Limited details from third-party payment processors (we do not store full card information).

1.5 Audio / Video calls

  •   Calls are powered by a verified third-party SDK (Agora).
  •   Voice/video data is encrypted during transmission. 
  •  No audio/video is stored by us.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Provide healthcare services via our Platform (home consultations, teleconsultations, referrals, pharmacy, diagnostics, nursing, attendants).
  • Verify identity and credentials of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
  • Enable secure communication between Patients and Healthcare Providers.
  • Maintain medical records for continuity of care, audit, or legal compliance.
  • Process payments, invoices, and generate reports.
  • Send appointment reminders, notifications, and updates.
  • Improve user experience, analytics, and Platform performance.
  • Comply with applicable laws and healthcare regulations.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on:

  • Consent: When you sign up, provide health details, or agree to share reports.
  • Contractual necessity: To deliver services you request.
  • Legal obligations: As per Indian medical/telemedicine regulations, and data protection laws.
  • Legitimate interest: For platform security, fraud prevention, and analytics.

4. Sharing of Information

We may share data with:

  • Healthcare Providers: Doctors, nurses, health attendants, labs, pharmacies, hospitals you choose to engage with.
  • Third-Party Vendors: Payment gateways, diagnostic labs, pharmacy partners, cloud storage providers.
  • Regulators/Authorities: When required by law, court orders, or regulatory bodies.
  • Business Transfers: In case of merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale.
  • We do not sell your personal or health information to advertisers or marketers.

5. Data Storage & Security

We store data on secure servers located in India (and where necessary, in compliance with cross-border transfer rules).

  • Sensitive Personal Data (like health records) is encrypted during transmission (SSL/TLS) and at rest.
  • Access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
  • We maintain audit logs and security monitoring to detect misuse.

6. Data Retention

  • Medical records are retained for a minimum period as required under Indian healthcare guidelines (currently, at least 3 years, or longer if mandated).
  • Other personal data is retained only as long as needed for service delivery or legal compliance.
  • Upon request, we will delete/anonymize data unless retention is legally required.

7. User Rights

As per the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable laws, you have rights to:

  • Access your personal data.
  • Request corrections or updates.
  • Withdraw consent (where applicable).
  • Request deletion or erasure (subject to legal obligations).

  • Port your data (where technically feasible).

8. Data Retention & Account Deletion

8.1 Personal Data Deletion

Users (patients and doctors) may request deletion of their account and associated personal data at any time through the “Delete Account” option in the MedGoPlus app.

Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will permanently delete the following data from our systems:

  • Profile information (name, email, gender, date of birth, profile photo)
  • Professional, Service Details applicable to Doctors

All deleted data is removed from our active databases within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.

8.2 Data We Cannot Delete (Regulatory & Audit Requirements)

Certain information cannot be deleted due to legal, financial, and healthcare audit requirements, including:

  • Consultation records
  • Prescriptions
  • Payment and settlement details
  • Transaction logs
  • Doctor professional verification documents

This data is retained strictly for regulatory compliance, legal obligations, fraud prevention, and audit trails.

We do not use retained information for marketing or profiling purposes.

9. Children’s Privacy

  • Our Services are intended for users 18 years and older.
  • If you are a parent/guardian of a minor using our Services, you are responsible for providing consent and supervision.
  • We do not knowingly collect data from children without guardian consent.

10. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for login sessions, analytics, and personalization.

You can control cookie preferences via your browser settings.

11. Limitation of Liability

While we follow strict data protection practices, no system is 100% secure.
